In Thailand, out-of-school youth face complex challenges requiring tailored solutions. Since 2019, the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) has collaborated with civil society networks to implement the “Alternative Learning Pathway for Out-of-School Youth and Workers.” This includes scholarships, career development, and support for teenage parents nationwide. Additionally, EEF, in partnership with the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, has transformed correctional officers into learning facilitators, offering thousands of children behind bars education tailored to their needs. By focusing on academic, vocational, and life skills, EEF helps these youths start anew as valuable contributors to society.
